Welcome to the Community :D Just a caution about LVNV, don't try to talk with them over the phone. Do all your correspondence through the mail. I have been dealing with them for over a year, they have broken several FDCPA regulations, and talk to you like you were a dog! You need to send a DV letter, but don't expect them to validate, they haven't mine for over a year. Keep recors of them if you do call, and copies of all correspondence. They aslo have other names they go by, so they usually just pass it on to one of their many agencies! Good Luck-keep us posted..Karen by the way-google them in the box next to your screen, and see what others have done about them

I have sent already 3 dv letters CMRRR to 3 of the different names you mention in your post above. Apparently, they do keep passing the same alleged debt around. None has ever(surprise)responded. How would you suggest formatting the letter with all the names? Would you word it like, Dear LVNV, DBA...AKA...and so on? Do you know what I mean? I think that it a great idea, I just don't really know how to format it.

I would put their main corporate name first followed by all the dba's you have and mail to the headquarters certified return receipt. In the letter, inform them that this debt is disputed and you are instructing them and any other firm that would gain receipt of it of that fact. Any and all firms will be instructed to validate since the previous ca never bothered.

So Bossy, it looks like we are in the same boat. The debt just getting passed around and around to another dba or aka. If you have already tried that putting all the names on the one letter and it didn't work, then I guess I won't even bother. I'll just keep waiting.....Thanks

Record your conversations as well, if you can, or take very good notes, every time you speak with them. You'll probably get several violations of the fdcpa each time. Mainly out of ignorance, the people they hire seem to be teenagers. This company is like RJM and several other debt buyers. You'll send several letters of requesting verification, and it could go on for years, unless you litigate. It's because they have nothing but to gain if you should ever pay them anything. They also sometime pretend that the FDCPA doesn't apply to them "because they are they creditor", (relying on much of the publics ignorance that it only doen't apply to the original creditor).
