My Daughter Robyn & boyfriend Paul/ Advantage Dodge, Mount Dora Florida

My daughter (handicapped) and boyfriend bought a vehicle there. I did not know until much later that boyfriend's credit did not go thru so they put truck in my daughters name alone. Advantage Dodge's salesperson had falsified the application for her loan by showing her income as almost 6X what it was, ($4500. a mo investment income not a disability check of $738. a mo) and showing she owned a $90,000 home outright ( she owns 1/2 of a 1994 singlewide mobile home). He put them in a vehicle they could not afford and would never have been able to buy if application had been true. However boyfriend, Paul made the payments and on time.
Then two years later they went in to service this truck and same salesperson told them they were upside down in that truck and he could help them. He sold them another vehicle and again falsified application for loan. Boyfriend was approved on loan at this time. Application showing $6100.00 a mo.(3X's actual income) for the two of them and owning a $150,000.00 home outright. Then salesman told them to park the present truck in their yard and call next day to have it picked up by the bank they owed for it; voluntarily letting it go back he called it. He told them they would be out from under the upside down in that truck and the payments. He did not tell them they would have a balance on that loan, and put them into an even larger loan on new vehicle. Now they owe $15,000.000 on old vehicle, they no longer have and $37,000.00 on new one and make about $2300. a mo. between then.....HELP they may lose their little home and vehicle.………….Audrey Lorenz(mother of Robyn & power of attorney)
PS…I have all paperwork to prove this…

Sorry to hear about your daughter's and her boyfriend's story. Unfortunately, most dmp companies don't handle secured debts. You will need to handle the matter directly with the creditor. Please put a written payment plan to the company and keep making the payments. Make sure that they post the payments towards the accounts. I don't find any other way to come out of this mess. Maybe, someone else on the board can give you better suggestions.
