If you just quit paying your payday loans, what will happen eventually? Will they settle for half the loan? Will they write it off, or will it eventually go on your credit report (EQU, TRU, EXP) I don't care about teletrack or any of that.

I have about the same question toofarindebt had, i have 3 ipdl and 3 storefront, my bank closed my checking account (on their own) after the 3 ipdl's had only taken one payment out, the storefront companys haven't gotten any payment. My children moved back in with me and i cant afford to pay all this now, united cash loans wants an additional $300 along with the 300 that was orginally borrowed but when i asked for a address because i wanted to send them a letter to ask why it was so much they said they dont have an address! i laughed and said yeah right, then do what you have to do. I'm in alabama, what is it they can do?

First thing I would do is make arrangements with the storefront PDL's they are licensed in your state and they will take you to court. Explain your situation to them and tell them what kind of payments you can afford (don't make those payments too small because then they won't work with you)

Then try and contact the ipdl's BEFORE they send it to collections or before I-collect buys it. Because if that happens then expect to get some pretty nasty phone calls. Then you can try and settle the account with the original lender. Most of the time depending on the state you live in, they will settle for the original amount and 1 interest fee. But in some states depending on how much you have paid them already they may mark your account paid in full. You will have to check your states laws on payday loans.
My states department of financial institutions is waiting for them to put something on my credit report so then they can get info on the original creditor. As far as I know they won't put it on your credit report, just for the fact that then these states that are after them can make the company who reported it give the info on the pdl company.
The only number I have for the loanshop is 1-800-757-0122. They will not give out an address because they do not want to accept money orders or cashiers checks. Plus they don't want the states ag to know how to contact them. So good luck with an address. I got a couple of addys from my states DFI you could try and do that or check with the BBB.

Their number is 1-866-771-7784 ex. 115 her name is krisa. I got lucky and found the paper that i wrote it on. So here you go hope this helps some of you out there.
