Welcome to the Forums :D I'm not sure who you are referring to, but the first place to get info is from your 3 credit reports. You can see who has reported, names,etc. If you see something that shouldn't be there, you can dispute these with them. Good Luck!..Karen

If the entry is from a collection agency, they should tell you the origin of the debt. From there you can contact the original creditor. If they still own the debt, it may be possible to deal with them directly, but if the debt has been sold (different from a charge off), you must deal with the company that now owns the debt.

What ever you do send them a debt validation letter, in it you can request the original creditors name. Who is the collection agency?
