WV has another victory under their belt. Today a judge ordered the suponeas to be enforced against some very popular internet companies we have all dealt with. This is a major victory. You all can go to http://www.wvrecord.com and read the press release. Many Many More on the Way!!!!

Thanks for posting this Kyside.
I just e-mailed that link to my states DFI lol maybe we can get the ball rolling on something like that in my state. Great news for WV though. Wish it was here though. I just paid off Applefastcash and probably could have gotten a refund. Oh well I guess I can't complain because the DFI has gotten 3 IPDL's off my back already and is working on getting me a refund on a couple others.

You have done great work in getting this done kyside. It is beyond me why anybody would want to correct anything you say in these matters. They don't know what you do to make things better for consumers. And I just can not wait until at least ONE of these companies names and the person behind them is exposed. I sure hope it opens up some eyes on this board.

Using the e-mail function, I wrote:

So you ARE doing illegal business, huh? Tsk Tsk. I am still waiting for my account to be marked Paid in Full -- I am certain other states are going to be cracking down on your illegal activities as well. I am pushing Michigan to -- that's for sure!

And I sent it to every PDL email address I have in my file. :)

this is the reply from DMS:

[quote]No Sarah we are not, I have tried telling you this before! If you would have read your contract like every consumer is suppose to before they sign up for the loan everything thing that you are trying to do is against your contract. We have the right to debit from you account you agreed to that, it is suppose to be every two weeks which is what you agreed to when you signed up for the loan, and as for your state laws they do not apply when it comes to the loan your didn????????t go to a store front, therefore the only laws that apply are Delaware????????s laws. And we are abiding by those laws, all we go by are the laws of the contract, which clearly states in the first paragraph, that if you have a problem with you loan it is not to be taken to court, you are to resolve it with company somehow, with some employee and I have been extremely patient with you to try and explain this, if you have any further questions let me know. But there is no reason for you to take this to your attorney or to have this taken to court we are following the rules that we are given to follow. Have a great day!!!

I never said anything about taking it to an attorney --

Have you guys filed your complaints wit the AGs' offices yet? If not you need to. They tell you there is no need to do this because they don't want to be exposed.

AGAIN KYSIDE WAY TO GO! I for one know exactly how much of your personal time and effort went into this and the work you did to make this happen and you continue to do an excellent job!

Steelers- I filed complaints with the OH AG's office. The only response from them beyond saying they were investigating my complaint I got was from One Step Cash, which settled with me in a matter of hours. I have emailed the reps investigating my complaints and they haven't gotten back with me. Did you have better luck with the OH AG?

Yes. And your complaints whether they told you or not are being forwarded to the Dept. of Finance, I know that when I filed my complaints they were sent there, and that dept. began a file with my complaints and they are putting all complaints they get regarding ipdls into that file, which I know has built up by now. At the time of my complaints, they were unaware that this was a problem and stated they were very interested in it. I know when they got my complaints I was told they held a meeting that afternoon based on my complaints only and were trying to figure out how do they deal with them. That was back in Sept. I did have success with my complaints, I also stayed in touch, I didn't want it to be set aside and forgotten.

Hey, Let me answer a few questions. Fedup YES! The consumers of WV are getting back refunds from these companies. They were operating ILLEGALLY>>> Sarah, Please complain to the Attorney General there. I am pretty sure that Michigan is working on these payday loan laws. Polly is from Mich. and so is Fins. They are pretty up to date on the state laws. Without these complaints the Attorney Generals can do nothing. Steelers thanks for your support. I dont worry anymore about someone correcting me. My post spoke for itself. Someone can take my advice or leave it. Thats just the way I feel I have been slammed so much for trying to help people. KYSIDE38

LOL! I even got corrected telling somebody you were a great resource to get with regarding their pdl mess! LOL. Imagine that, I am getting used to some needing to feel as if the are the one and only who can be of assistance, and you are not correct until they verify you. LOL. Some people just have a low self esteem and need to make up for it somewhere I guess. But I still stand by my post in the other thread, you are the one NO MATTER WHAT STATE the person is in to get help from because you have done more work than anyone I know, you back up with what you say with experience with the top dogs, nobody else here can say they that, just that they made a phone call.

I found Michigan's online complaint form, which make things a whole lot easier! I got one complaint in yesterday, and now I have to do the other ones --
