If a storefront PDL takes you to court will they drop it if you pay them before the court date. I am expecting my tax refund anyday now and I think I will get it before the court date.

You should let the storefront lender know about your plans and wish to clear the debts within the next few days. Put it in writing so that they have a proof of your commitment. Be aware that this matter is already set to reach the court if you don't pay them back. So, when you are making a commitment, make sure that you will abide by it. They will withdraw the case from the court after you have paid them back.

I would think they would accept it because it is time and money to them also if they have to take time out of their day to attend the hearing. Putting it in writing, If you can get the managers signature that would be even better. You would have proof that you did attempt, do pay them when you get your income tax and get them out of your hair for good. Goodluck.

Well my income tax came today so I called Checksmart. I will take the money into the store tommorrow and I can't avoid the mediation hearing. That will b 3 down and 2 more to go. I am beginning to see a little light at the end of this dismal tunnel. :) You know this forum is really great because for so long I thought I was the only idiot who had done this. It's feels so good to know your not alone and people will give you advice and support.
