This is another one of those England companies that is violating every law in the book. They are under investigation here and hopefully will be next on the list to go down. KYSIDE38

Close your checking account immediately!!!! Then file a complaint with your attorney generals office, even if your state does allow rollovers, complaints make them aware of the abuse to consumers, which then will prompt them to MAYBE change the laws.

Please answer the posts, what state are you from and stay tuned for help.

This aggravates the crap out of me, little piddly $200 loan and they rob you dry. Now my blood pressure is up, LOL.

Is there a wage assignment clause in your "contract"? If so, you'd want to write up a letter that revokes that agreement, send one to the PDL, and give a copy to your payroll department.

If you're going to close your account, it would be a good idea to open a new account first. I'd also talk to the bank and not let them re-open your account if the PDL attempts to withdraw funds.

It is not illegal to close your bank account. In some states it is illegal if you close it intentionally to defraud the company, but that clearly isn't the situation here. They will lie to you and tell you that you can be arrested for a variety of crimes, but it's all lies!

Closing the account is the only way to stop them from continuing to take more money. These companies have so many different dba's that just blocking them won't work. Some banks allow you to block all ach transactions, but then you won't be able to do checks by phone, let insurance come out of the account, or have any other direct payments.
