Because I had such good luck with this company - I thought I would pass it along. I became in default with them on April 5th after closing out my bank account. I was terrified because I had heard horror stories of this PDL company and their ruth-less collection activites. I don't know if I just picked a good account rep or what. I was warned that if I did not clear up this account that they would have no other choice but to contact my payroll department. I once again took initative and emailed my payroll letting them know that I had revoked any wage assignment. I paid half of the $566 balance on April 20th -even with them telling me I couldn't split it up that I had to pay it all at once. I paid the remaining half today and called my account rep with my confirmation number. So regardless if they are trying to scare you - CTC did allow me to go a month in default without contacting my payroll department. I guess when they saw that I was actually paying on the account it stopped them from their ugly collection tactics. I hope this information will help others who may be or planning on becoming default with them. Another one down!

How did you pay half the balance? They told me they could only accept funds via credit card, ACH or moneygram- that they would not accept money orders. They also would not take any type of payment arrnement. Has anyone successfully negotiated any type of payment arrangement with them?

Guest-they told me the same thing. They said that they do not have access to regular mail!!! They wouldn't take any payment arrangment from me either except if I split it up into two payments and two payments only. They were not very friendly to me. I insisted on dealing with them through the mail or email only and the dip that kept calling me told me THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO EMAIL!!!!!!!!! This from an internet payday loan company!!!

They also told me they did not have access to email. They told me one lump sum, though, not two. I sent a letter via email anyhow to the ecare email address I had revoking any wage assignments and asking them not to call me at work. When I spoke with them on the phone yesterday, they did tell me that they would put it in their file not to call me at work, but that that did not mean they were not going to call anyone ELSE at my work. jerks. I don't know how I'm supposed to pay all these PDLs off if no one will settle for payments- I'd be happy with payments even paying off what they consider the "full" balance as long as I could do it in installments....not sure what they are thinking. If I'd had the money to pay them in full I'd have done it already!

I did the same thing, sent email to the ecare address and guess what, every time I did, they got it, and then this guy would call me and tell me they could not communicate that way because they didn't have access to email. Then how in the heck were they getting the information that I sent them? They never called me at work again or my coworkers but they did call my hr department to try to get a voluntary wage assignment enacted but I beat them to hr and hr would not tell them a darn thing. Who all are you dealing with, guest? Some of these places, well most of them, say that they will not take payments but they sure cash the money orders if you send them in. CTC told me they would take 2 payments but that is because they were telling me I owed them like $250 more than I actually did.
