I applied for a payday loan a while back. It was with AIP. They have been debiting my bank account for 6 months now. I live in NC and would like to know the laws on repayment. I thought that after 4 drafts they had to start debiting out not only the fee, but a small percent to the loan too.

Do what sass said, but also know this - AIP has closed loans before without much work becuase they know that pdl's are illegal in NC! I would call them up or send them a letter and ask to speak to the controller. Tell her you are from NC and that pdl's are illegal and you want your loan marked paid in full.

Get that complaint in to the Attorney Generals office as soon as possible. They will get something done on your behalf. Consumer Division. Also close that account before they can get anymore money. KYSIDE38
