Hi found this site, supposely is a debt settlement forum place and the owner is sifxpert. Well for some odd reason, I tried to log in at the bottom page, but forgot I must register first. Anyways, guess what happens, just type any name and password and it takes you straight to paypal.com (hoaxy to me, thats SCARY)
the site is called debthelpcenter.net, forget that im not going to seek help there.

There is a bug that is being taken care of at the moment but as the site says, there is no fee for becoming a member on our site. To my knowledge there is no other site that offers such specific advice for debt settlement. The advice posted on our forum as well as others is the best first hand information available to consumers looking to settle their debts.

There is a reason why we have had over 100,000 visitors and "having trouble settling your debts" and "debt settlement tips and tricks" threads have close to 14,000 views and over 300 responses. On another forum the same threads have over 50,000 views.

FOr now, if you login in at the top of the page, it will take you to the sign in page that works. THe link on the bottom of the page is not working and will take you to paypal but no where on our site does it say there is a fee for advice or to view pages.

Our sire is free and always will be.

I have not used sifxpert but found out about his services by searching debt settlement. I did read a lot of good reviews about him and decided to register with his site a few weeks ago. I found a lot of great information and tips on there. I did not have any trouble at all with the site or getting spammed or anything like that. I never paid a fee. In fact the site asked for NO personal info when I registered.

Just a note, I highly considered sifxpert out of all other companies I researched. I just decided to go down the DS path on my own. Must have been from all those great tips I have been reading! :D

Yes thank you for your input, but no where does it say on his forum site he or what the co. name may be ? so I can see if he's with BBB. Still its no good when you are sent to paypal site while logging in at the bottom of the page. Easy way to get hack !! that's a serious issue and should get fixed, As I was sent to paypal, and it showed my paypal account email address, easy way to get hack. No good !

I was looking for a link to post for you but there are so many to list for sifxpert. You can find them all here on debtcc. Use the search box on the top corner of the page. You will find what you are looking for.

You are right to be cautious and obviously something is going on with his site although I had no problems logging in. I see that he has posted on here and is aware of the problem.

Unfortunately hackers are out there and all we can do is watch out for ourselves and be cautious. I have had the same thing happen with my aol,cc's,ebay, paypal and my daughters myspace account. Like you-we knew something was fishy and didn't fall for it.

If you still feel uncomfortable, you can always choose to not go on his site.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

My suggestion would be to do research on any company you choose to go with whether you are doing debt settlement or debt management. I've been hearing an ad over the radio here lately telling people that settling their debts won't hurt their credit report. I was tempted to call them up and tell them what a bunch of liars they are.

Do your research. Check with the BBB, user comments on message boards and blogs. That's where you are going to get the information you are looking for and needing.

There's been a lot of good advice posted on this thread. There's really not much I can add to it, except this:

Notwithstanding all research, etc., if it sounds fishy, it probably is. After all your research has been done, if something 'just doesn't add up', walk away. It's better that you should miss a possibly good thing because they don't articulate their communications clearly, than that you fall into a slick, well-polished trap with a bad program.

My $.02, YMMV
