What's the best way to go to consolidate debt? Is there a debt consolidation company that is reputable?

Well for me I went with Superior debt relief. My counselor that helped me is Teresa Cadiz and she is an amazing person to talk to, so knowledgeable and patient. I am almost done with only 2 more creditors to settle with. Been with them for little over 2 years and i first signed up for a 3 year program but because my largest debt with bank of america was settled for 22cents on the dollar and the others were also lower i am finishing sooner. If you would like to call her, the number is 888-366-3413 ext 304. Good luck.

You can also contact me and i will give you my whole story if you would like tohear it.

I had made a comment, on another thread, about SDR. I never signed up for their program........just alot of issues there. When I told them I needed certain things done, it just seemed like they weren't listening to me. Seemed a bit pushy. Not that they don't work for someone else. They just din't work for me.

sdchargers, not sure but if you know about settlement then why are you telling them what you needed done. They are there to qualify you for the program not to have you tell them how to do their business. Maybe they were able to help you because you had too many restrictions or demanded certain things they could not accommodate you. When the counselor addressed these things they might have seemed pushy because they were able to meet your needs. this seems possible.

I fully accepted what was going to happen and how the process was going to take place. My counselor is Teresa Cadiz and she was awesome; very attentive and a great listener. She is not a pushy person, basically provided me with all the information good and not so good and left me alone, she called me the following week to follow up see if i had questions and such at that point i told her that i went with lawyer based debt settlement company and she told me to becareful and to have a back up plan. She explained that lawyers are aggressive which can be a good thing but in settlement it would have my accounts go to legal and be sued. she wished me all the best and was not rude in any manner. well four months into this other program i was sued by a creditor. after first panicking and calling the lawfirm they only kept pushing me to file bankruptcy which they were looking to collect another fee. this really upset me because i should have more options. well after a couple of weeks i called teresa told her the whole story, she gave me some valueable information on how to deal with lawsuit and was able to take care of it; the thing that impressed me was i was not signed up with her and she had no expectations of me doing anything with her either. she was very helpful and really amazing. after i got that account worked out, i called her again to get enrolled with superior debt relief. i will never have a bad thing to say about superior debt relief or teresa as they helped me when i thought there was no hope at all.
