I am currently using them and they are definately worth it. They cut my debt in half. :D

I would stay away from ALL debt settlement companies...most are scam artists! They advise you to stop paying your cc bills and charge you fees upfront. They can't do anything you can't do. I'm in the process of settling on my credit cards and have settled 3 so far. A few suggestions: 1) buy a folder with dividers and make a label for each of your cr cards, 2) send each of your cc companies a hardship letter outlining why you need to settle...send the letter certified mail, 3) if you can, purchase a pre-paid cell phone and change your contact info...include it in the letter you send, 4) answer your calls about once a week and take LOTS of GOOD notes EVERY time you speak to them...make note of the rep's name each time.

I forgot to mention...when you call the cc companies make your initial offer at about 15%-20% but always talk in terms of dollars...don't talk in terms of percentages.
