I have a credit line with BOA that Im trying to settle but I also use them as my bank. My question is can BOA see the money thta is in my BOA account and if so Where is a safe place that they can't see it. I did have an account at a different bank but scared they can ask for that info or do I even have to give it to them...... Thanks for the help

YEP...........I agree with all of the above posts!! :D If you do open a new account somewhere, you are not obligated to tell BOA that you have another account. It shouldn't be their business, anyway.

How quickly can a creditor move to offset their debt with funds you have with them in a bank account?

I am less than 30 days late with this credit card and am winding down the checking account I also have with them. But waiting for the last few payments to clear before cashing out the account and closing it.

BOA will find you anywhere, it's just a matter of time and how delinquent the account is before they execute their options. Any account you open is placed on your credit report. They know what you are doing.

As others have said, put your money in an institution unrelated to BOA. That doesn't keep you safe, it just buys you a little more time, before they jump you.
