They can not take money out of your account without a court orde
They can not take money out of your account without a court ordered judgment with the exception of the clause mentioned above. Open an account at a bank that is not affiliated with BOA. If they ever get a judgment then they could access any bank account they can link to you though.

I am less than 30 days late with this credit card and am winding down the checking account I also have with them. But waiting for the last few payments to clear before cashing out the account and closing it.

BOA will find you anywhere, it's just a matter of time and how delinquent the account is before they execute their options. Any account you open is placed on your credit report. They know what you are doing.
As others have said, put your money in an institution unrelated to BOA. That doesn't keep you safe, it just buys you a little more time, before they jump you.

I think you can park money plenty of places with out BOA finding it. Your money is relatively safe as long as they don???t have a judgment anyway. If they get a judgment then that is when your money will be at risk since they could confiscate it if they find it in an account.
