Has anyone ever had any luck working with the creditor once the garnishment has been ordered to get it stopped and work out a payment plan that is more affordable. I can't imagine losing that much money a month!

To be honest I just got the thing in the mail. In talking briefly with the law firm they have sent a few other notices, but I didn't get them. (We have an issue with mail theft in our neighborhood so it wouldn't surprise me.) I thought they would come certified mail or something. I don't even know what the court date was!
