Citi/Home Depot Trying to Open New Acct

Citi/Home Depot just closed my account and put me in a 12 month hardship program. This was two monts ago. Now they are calling me and trying to get me to open a new account with them that will go into effect if/when I finish my hardship program. The nerve! I didn't ask for them to close my current account! I don't trust them - I said no. They call every other week to try to get me to open the new account. Any one know why they would do this?

Because they want you to remain a customer. But if you take the new card, it may be loaded with provisions, fees, and high interest that it may not be worth it.
