I recently found out that the SS# on one of my CC is not mine. ALthough the account is mine & I pay the bill, they won't talk to me. I want to negotiate the interest rate but they wont talk to me because I can't verify the social. Any Suggestions?

With as many cards as these places process, it is easy for someone to make a typo and enter your SSN wrong. I would write them a letter to address the issue. Simply tell them the account is yours and has always been yours, everything has your signature, and you've always made the payments. And you would like them to correct their computer records.

Send a copy of your statement & DL. Ask them to run a Bullseye (Experian) and/or Account Reporting Review (Transunion) [this is an alternative to them pulling your whole credit and making an inquiry]. It will show them your real SSN and the fact that they are reporting the account on your credit report.

Tell them if they don't want to deal/talk to you, then you won't make any more payments. And they can try to collect from the person who they think owes them money.
