Hi, I am a canadian with a US credit card in collection now. No job anymore(hoping) no way to pay it at all at the moment. I get atleast 25 calls a day from there recorded message. is there anything they can do to collect from me in canada. I am also in bankruptcy in canada now but was not able to put them on my list. any ideas.

Well, it may. Now-a-days creditors enjoy lot more power and there are tracking devices which can help them in locating defaulted customers. The creditor may simply need to employ a collection agency in your native country for the collection purposes. However, it would depend upon the creditor and, yeah, on the amount you owe. If it???s a very large amount then they may try to get hold of you even when you???re in a different country.
