I had a loan that was paid, or so I thought. The account that I gave the comapny 2 years ago has been closed and I'm with a new bank. Today I had a 390.00 debit taken from the acct. How this comapny got that information, I have no idea. Do they have the right to take money from an acct I never gave them? Also, they are refusing to give me proof that I owe them.

I have unfortunately heard of this happening. Someone will be along to offer more information on this subject. Hang in there. I was told by my local legal aide office that was illegal, but somehow they can get around that.

Do you have access to your old bank account statements or could you get them to show proof that this was indeed paid. Please state the state that you live in also and I am assuming this was an internet pdl, is that correct?

guest, what???? :shock: This was a loan from TWO YEARS ago? And they've taken money out of your account (new account) just now? Hold up! I do hope that you have disputed this with your bank and have that debit reversed off. Please say you have. Is your new account at the same bank as the old account?

Hi there. Cannr is absolutely right. You need to dispute this with your bank because this was an unauthorized debit! If they won't reverse it then I think you might want to consider a new bank and to file a complaint about your current bank.
