Have you called and spoken to anyone at the credit card company about this? Is this the first month that those charges have shown up on your bill, or have the charges always been there? Are those fees monthly or annual charges?

One of my cc would always sign me up for credit protection thing and i never approved it, i would have to call and have it removed every month. I believe it was Chase.

If they want to charge something that's not in your member agreement, all they have to do is send you a notice (amendment) to the terms and conditions. At that point, you either have the option of keeping the card and agreeing to new terms (if you use the card after that, you implicitly agreed to the new terms); or if you don't agree to new terms, then cancel the card.

Could be... it's been a while since the last time I read the fine print on an opt-out notice. But the last time I did, it said if I opted out then they would close the card to new charges.
