how long after a creditor closes my acct, due to lack of repayment, can they continue to charge me additional fees and interest?? eg. I owed approx $2000 on a credit card and was unable to make payments and now the balance is approx. $6000...
They can continue to charge you interest as long as it is owed.
They can continue to charge you interest as long as it is owed. Late fees usually stop when the debt is charged off.
