Hi gregghart
Even when the accounts are under the consolidation plan, the accounts will be shown as getting paid instead of being left unpaid. This sounds good! Those who will see your credit will understand that you are making your payments regularly.
Once the plan is over and all the accounts are paid off, the program gets removed from the file. No one viewing your credit file will find out whether you used this program before. Consolidation has no negative effects in the long run. When you are in the program, some companies will see that you were unable to make the payments on your own and used professional help. You might have to shop with them for better interest rates. This program has no serious negative consequences if you decide to enroll in the plan.
