If they don't agree to a hardship plan or a settlement, then it might be transferred to another CA, depending on how badly Allied needs/wants money. Most likely if they can't reach an agreement, they'll sue for breach of contract.

Allied cant and wont sue.....they are a CA.
AMEX like citibank and cap one, place their accounts on a contingency basis with CA's. As a first or second placement, the settlements are generally lower percentage. Allied has to follow AMEX's guidelines and generally the collectors will cream the good accounts off the top and let difficult accounts slide to the next agency.

My Mom was with Amex since 1999... great customer if you know what i mean!! Always paid the minimums, never late, etc... until now. It's my understanding that Allied is Amex's CA... not in house, but just not some random CA buying the debt. Is my understanding correct? 150 days late... it seems as though I will have to wait a bit longer for perhaps charge off or hope another CA takes the debt from Allied that will work with me on settlement.
