Allied Interstate calling after Settlement for Cap 1
Date: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 08:27
Settled a business card with Allied Interstate for Cap1 one last month. They received the final payment on 3/25.
Allied robo called on 3/27, apologized for calling and said the account is still in collections but it is settled and would be removed in the next billing cycle.
I reluctantly understand that, however today I get a call from Allied again with the same story AND I get a call from my sister, different town, different last name, different phone # saying some one from Allied has called at least 20x looking for me.
Neither Cap 1 or Allied could explain why they would skip trace me after 1. They know and have spoken to me on my number and 2. especially since the account is settled.
Are there any violations here or am I wasting my time since it was a business account.
Thanks

Thanks SL,
I already did that, Cap 1 issued a cease and desist to Allied, they were pretty apologetic and could not understand why Allied would skip trace a settled account.
Allied just pisses me off, settled a ton of debt including this one and have always been reachable to creditors and NOW they skip trace.
