court summons

i just received a court summons. they left it in my door while no one was home. its dated for December 9 and says i have to respond within 20 days yet i just received it yesterday Jan 30th. i heard i will now have a warrant for my arrest for not responding yet I did not receive the summons for 2 months after i was supposed to respond. is this true?

When is the court hearing? Has the creditor already got a judgement against you?
IMO you need to contact the court clerk to see what can be done.
