From what I understand, certain professions such as the poster is referring to will NOT allow unpaid negative trade lines prior to sitting of the exam because they cannot be licensed with bad credit. This also applies to attorneys in some states...they cannot pass the morals section. When I was collecting, I often dealt with law school grads scrambling to get loans out of default.
To the poster...pull your credit report and find your creditor.
