My dad is going to purchase me a a house in south carolina. I already have a judgement on me and more debt... Can a credit card collector put a lien on the house if its in my name ? or is there some kind of statue of limitations ? thank you...:confused:

Yup they sure can....it is an attachable asset. The SOL on a judgement in south carolina is 10 years...you would need to check whether or not it is renewable. Maybe you should get your dad to help you pay your debts off so you dont need to be looking over your shoulder???
