Auto Loan Charge Off Help!

My auto loan was charged off by my finance company 15 days ago. After 10 months of being unemployed, I have a job and want to bring the loan current. As of right now I am 4 months behind. I still have the vehicle. I've offered to pay the past due balance to the finance company over the period of one month and they have refused, Can I pay them over the course of the month anyway, bring the car note current and try to renegotiate or trade the vehicle in?

You said that the account has been charged off by the finance company. Has the account been assigned to a collection agency? If yes, then you'll have to negotiate with the CA. Wait for the answers from our forum experts.
