Just took my first call from BofA..they immediately wanted to discuss a hardship program. They wanted financial info etc. to see if we qualified. I told her I am sure we don't as we can't pay anything on any card right now and I wanted to discuss w/ my husband. I am sure they will call tomorrow. I don't want any hardship program..I just want to eventually settle..how do I avoid this? Will they keep asking for this info..how do I get past this step and the next which she says is a referral to some national debt management program. Thx in advance.

hello luckin,

i recommend not talking to them all the time like i said, they will drive you crazy, if i were to be working on this i literally wouldnt make one call till 180days and go in for the kill.

being that you are the client they cant get mad when youre trying to settle early, the fact is most likely youre not going to get the settlement you want so early but who knows its always worth a try but they are going to try and get you into something else that benefits them and not your pocket.

if you do have them on the phone try to avoid them from going down the wrong route, tell them you only have whatever 14% is if its a personal and thats all you have you cant do the payments because you cant predict the next 3 months, if its the business debt offer 9%

Well, it completely depends on your will and wish and moreover it???s good to hear that you want to settle your debts once and for all.

Straightaway, you can go ahead for a settlement proposal and if BofA accepts the offer, then you can send them a Letter of Acceptance of debt settlement offer as a written confirmation.

The following link might help you in formatting the letter.
