Bank Garnishment

Late today I found there was a bank garnishment on my account and left me with 0. I think I was notified of this through court papers in the mail, I am not even sure if that is what it was and it was dated back in August and it is now Jan. 2011. I beleive it is Capitol One also. Anyway, my bank never notified me of this and it was done 3 days ago ! There is also another amount pending wich puts me in a huge negative balance and I have no idea what this is for, it doesn't state on the account. I also have not received any other papers than the ones I mentioned. Do you think this is another garnishment? How many times or for how long can a creditor garnish your account? What should I do next? Sorry if this is confusing but I am upset. Thank You.

Obviously they have a jdugment against you.....they are not going to tell you when or what action they will take...nor or they required to.
You will have to check your garnishment/levy rules for your state.
