Return of bank levy funds

Since my income for the past 18 months has consisted solely of unemployment benefits the court officer told me to FAX the collector copies of 3 months bank statements which I did and instruct them to return my money as unemployment benefits are exempt.
How long should should I give them to put the money back in my account and what are my resources if they don't do it.
thanks

How long ago did this happen? Typically the bank will hold the money on a Levy request and not actually release the money to the requesting party until the time period for you to challenge the Levy has expired. Are you sure the bank already released the money or just froze the account?
Unfortunately if the CA has the money then you are at their mercy as to whether or not you will get it back. Sure if they weren't allowed to have it you are legally allowed to get it back, but the only way to force them to obey the law is through the courts, if they do not voluntarily return the funds.
You mentioned it was a very small amount of money so it is doubtful that it will be cost-effective for you to fight for it. So lets hope they do the right thing.
I would check with my bank right away though and see if the money was actually released.
