Does BB&T give you a one time refund on an overdraft? I know that chase bank will refund one overdraft no matter the amount one time every year. Or say if your balance is lower because of a fee (not necessarily in overdraft) that the bank took out, if you call and speak with someone they will put everything back no questions. My bbt rep gave me this card and said that i could only use it once if my account went into the negative but i lost my card for "just in case" i but sosmething i dont have any money for. So i just want to know will bbt actually refund any items in full with no fees and put your account back into positive standing even if its just that one time? Has anyone ever taken advantage of this?
You'll need to check the policies related to the type of account
You'll need to check the policies related to the type of account you have. Many changes have gone in place since Reg E. I'd go to their website and read on on their polices regarding overdrafts. Some banks will pay them as a courtesy. Some will hole them for a couple days and give you time to get the money deposited. Some will immediately deny the charge. Some refund fees a certain number of times per year. Some don't. It depends on their policies and your history with the bank.
