:( Please do not allow this Belford High School online to keep ripping people off! They just ripped me off and many others as well!
I to was SCAMMED by Belford High School diploma online by the tune of $249.00 I PAID FOR IT WITH A DEBIT CARD. The college I was gonna use this fake (diploma) at informed me that Belford High School in Humble, TX was not a real school and I had just been scammed. I called Belford High school and talk to a worm by the name (Frank) hmmmm..... Frank always was the one who would answer the phone when I had a question at Belford High School...go figure! They will not refund my money and no one will except this fake piece of paper called a diploma. ATTENTION PLEASE! DO NOT ALLOW (BELFORD HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA ONLINE) TO SCAM YOU! Just bite the bullet and enroll in a local GED class like I am going to do. What goes around comes around don't ever forget that...FRANK aka BELFORD HIGH SCHOOL online!!! Brenda
Here is the link to this school that is scamming people below!

They claim they are in Humble, TX but I believe that may be a lie as well!

Contact the legal authorities. It works. They will come into quick action when the complaints keep flowing to their offices. Contact the Office of Thrift Supervision in your state, Federal Trade Commission, local BBB, and the Attorney General's office. You should also file a police complaint about this company

I'm sorry you got ripped off but the key word in your post is FAKE, please do yourself a huge favor and go pass the G.E.D and quit trying to find an easy way around getting your diploma, would you want a surgeon operating on you who used a fake diploma to get into school or how about a teacher, teaching your kids with a fake diploma (this is happening and it makes me sick) It almost devalues the hard work people put into obtaining REAL diplomas not to mention the thousand of dollars in tuition and fees

Same with college or University online. There are some that are ligit, such as Univer. of Phoenix, but a lot don't even require study. They base it on "life experience" (ie, a four or five sentence paragraph). That's just a formality, they really only sell worthless degrees. Also, in California, you can study law online or via correspondence if the school is registered (though not accredited) with the Caifornia Bar, and after four years, sit for the Bar exam.

I always go for the advice my gramma gave me--if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

My boss, several years ago, tried to get me to take and get a degree online for a Masters! I told him--if it were that easy-why would anyone ever go to college--just get a degree in the mail!!

I do know several counselors that did it, and they are not recognized by the licensing board--so be carefull!!..karen

For one i have called an study the school. There is alot of talk it is a scam but...Some reasons people cant get into college with it is because they can pass the testing dont be dumb an think ur going to ucla or some big time college because you will need school credit.
4 years in ur GED. An they are not going to waist money on the 24 hour call an the web site just to scam people.
A scam is somthing that is done quick an they give no information so you cant fight them. Now if u are a drop out i would get it but ur 4 years an school is way better. If u have question call belfordhighschool people can talk on the web i want the information by the people who have bought it.

This question is for lipshitz, I also was looking into a Belford high school diploma how did this diploma work out for you? I was offered a job at a local hosptial but didn't get it due to me not having a high school diploma I have all the necessary certifications but that alone wasn't enough.

 BEWARE.BEWARE.
I just moved w/ my daughter to another state. She is a senior this year, and didn't want to have to start all over for her last year of high school. I found Belford and was very excited. However after checking w/ BBB and similar agencies, I found that this is just another "diploma mill" offering out diplomas that are not recognized by colleges.. Nor would she be eligible for any financial aid with this "diploma". Or so its called!! Glad I checked into it more b4 I handed out ANY money to them. They have a few different schools, in different areas, and by various names, according to BBB they are believed to all be run by the same person. If u look at the names of the administrators...'MR MARSHA MARSHALL' Are u kidding me? Ive seen the brady bunch too.!! SHAME ON U PEOPLE FOR RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!! U say u arent a business, If u take money....... U ARE A BUSINESS!!! Nice Try! HOPE U GUYS GET NAILED AND SOON! PRICKS!

Got my money back after calling them. Thanks to these postings, it was possible for me to CXLD order before they shipped it out. You have to get nasty with them. The web site is very deceptive, and I feel they pray on desperate people.

dont trust belfordhighschool I already paid for the fees and they say im going to get my tracking number for this day and I called them they said that they have not yet paid for my fees and I ask for a refund and they said that I can't get any refund at all. So don't waste your money do Penn Foster. It is real Legit.

Penn Foster is dubious too. Do a google search.

If you need a GED, go take accredited courses. Most school districts will offer evening courses for GED prep. They are very inexpensive and you are being taught be real teachers. Of course, you will only get out of it what you put into it.

Question is how to figure out if an online school is fake or not. I spent 2 years and about $4,000 finishing out my bachelor degree online (I already had an associates from a local technical college). Online school seemed to be a perfect opportunity because I could complete at my own pace (quicker or slower around my schedule) they sent me a diploma and my transcript. My problem is, I had an employer try to verify the school about 2 years after I finished and recieved my diploma and transcript. website is gone, phone number disconnected and mailing address comes back as "business not found". Unfortuantely I can find no information, so I wonder - was this a real school that went bankrupt and is no longer around? or was I scammed and my degree is not worth the paper it is printed on. Thus I will never attend another online school. If I can't go sit in the class at a well known school, forget it. online schools look real, but many are just scams.

I called the "school" and talked to a very rude cocky sucky "person" who didn't like me asking any questions. He was offened that I wanted to know where they were located. Said "why do you need to know that - all you need to know is that we're in Humble, Texas " then forwarded to another "person" who was more indignant than than the first person and told me it was none of my business where they were - my sister was given an address that does not exist -

I went to centura college when it was called Beta Tech back in 2006 and grad. It was well worth it and it is really a good school but the only thing is if your the type to go back to school than that will not be a good idea because the credit will not tranfer over to a 4year college. But I thought it was worth my time and It is the real deal its a school you can always go backe to and get toy tran. or any other info that is needed.
