There are numerous debt settlement companies that are not too reliable. Many of us on here handled our own and got better settlement percentages.

I am sure I am insolvent since I have 3 mortgages and am upside down on all but one. But filling out the form is proving difficult. Well, the 982 is not hard and I have it but the insolvency thing is over my head and my accountant does not know either.

The IRS form comes with explicit instructions. From what I have read from you on here, you can do it girl. Google it up too. You will see how others did it. It should not be causing you that much grief. It should be a math problem with you plugging in the numbers here and there. Good Luck.

Got all of the 1099's from my settlement actions.
