:confused:After many calls to the Bank of America to adjust my interest rateon my credit card, I was offered a 0% interest rate for one year. I made a payment based on that over the phone; Only to be told a month later, that the person I talked to did not complete the paper work so I was reported late and charged about $1000.00 all together. They then requested another payment with no documentaion to initiate that program.
I went to my bank to get the payments reversed. Their employee failed to submit the paper work. What can I do to get them to reverse the charges and keep their verbal agreement?

I had a similar thing happen to me. The b of a reps like to offer you some kind of deal, and to get this so called deal, you have to make a payment by phone. Beware, whether you are trying to get your rates reduced or arrange some kind of settlement with them, you need to get a statement from them in writing before making any type of payment. Also for those who have made a settlement deal with them, once you have paid the settlement and the balance is forgiven, don't be surprised if you are served with court papers from some junk debt buyer to go to court over the balance that was forgiven. You should prepare yourself to answer a summons and show up in court with your settlement paperwork and prove they have no right to collect on the forgiven balance of the debt. Peace
