a boat was repossesed about 5 years ago. It was bought in one state, the bank that gave me the lone was in another. What (SOL) years will I have to be worried about? If it makes any diffrence the boat was lic. and registered in a totaly diffrent state!!

Banks often do not maintain a physical office in the state where a contract is executed. Usually, though, they are licensed in the state where they do business. And the contract will usually say at the bottom "this contract is governed by the laws of the state of ...... "

It is usually safe to assume that the laws of your own home state will prevail. If you have moved to a different state since then, it get's complicated and I'm not sure.
