Hello everyone;
I have been planning on settling a debt with BofA based on the idea that they have allowed a 6 month repayment period for settlements. Yesterday I spoke with a rep who explained that as of Feb 1st, they are no longer allowed to offer 6 month payment options....they can only offer 3! Now my ability to pay them is totally messed up.
Anyone dealt with BofA recently? Do you think this is true? My account is over 120 days past due. Please help I am totally stressed out about this!
Thanks in advance.

Could be true as far as BofA's policies but I would wait another month or two until the debt's sold and charged off their books; and besides settlements are better when in the hands of a collection company or debt collector.
