Business Credit Cards and debt settlement
My husband is a sole proprietor and had a business credit card.
My husband is a sole proprietor and had a business credit card. We recently filed BK under our personal names (with any DBAs that we've used being listed in the papers), and the business credit card was included, just like the personal ones. Our attorney told us that once it is discharged, they can't try to collect from either my husband personally or from the business (which we still operate under). I would assume that debt settlement would work the same way and they could just be settled like any other credit card. Normally, if you obtain credit for a sole proprietorship, you have to personally guarantee it anyway.
Business credit cards
Hello and thanks for your help! One business is a painting business. Most of what we bought on the card wasnt even painting related. The other business is a photography and gift internet store. I am not even operating it anymore. Most of the card purchases were not related to that business either. Can these credit cards be settled like the rest? Bank of America is one and Capital One is the other.
