I have always believed that storefront lenders mostly follow the laws. I am surprised that the company gave you the loan without any contract. Since no terms and conditions were put upfront, the company deducts money from your account as much as they can.
You must be aware about the payday loan laws in CA and review your bank statements. I am thinking that the loan has already been paid by now. You should call the company and ask for a paid in full letter after putting your state laws and copies of bank statements. Keep everything documented so that you are able to prove your actions later.

I would file your complaint online first and then you will be assigned a worker with a contact number, that might help you manuever around the phone system. You will have a confirmation number so that when you call they will be able to pull up your complaint. :D

Thank you, I guess I wasnt clear the PDL has blank checks to deposit if I dont pay. I will fill out the forms on line and get a case number. If they gave me 4 when CA says I can only have 1. I would think that they are in the wrong... the only PDL that comes out of my acct is CASH CALL but what I did is when they gave me the loan i paid back 1000.00 that day so i only have 12 payments more then 50% is princable at least it is better then 4 years... still a bad idea i know now but... i am trying to get out of this mess I dug myself into

Call the California Department of Corporations (866) 275-2677, and tell themn whats going on-they will be a great help to you. That is where the CA AG will refer you to anyway. Sounds like that company is breaking the CA state law on PDLs.Good luck!

The legal interest rate they can charge on a loan is 15 percent
The legal interest rate they can charge on a loan is 15 percent in California. That's why on a $250 PDL in CA, you have to pay back $287.50. 50 percent is NOT legal and is tantamount to loan sharking!
