Hi all,

I have debt around 36K and 4 payments past due. I called customer care regarding settlement. They said lowest they can get is 11K spread over 90 days. But they refuse to do any kind of letter.

Did any one get settlement letter?
Should I pay them without letter what is the process?

Thanks,
An

How to proceed than....she denied giving any documents it is against their policy......
Did any one got any letter from them?

Call back and ask for a supervisor. Tell them that you can't get the money without the letter. They should be able to both fax and mail it to you. I have never had a problem getting a letter from B of A before. It's standard for them.

I set up the first payment with BofA before their settlement letter was mailed to me. It was 2 or 3 weeks out from our agreement over the phone. This allowed enough time for their settlement offer to get mailed to me before the payment was taken out of my "settlement only" account. No problems.

30 per cent settlements of current balance (about 25 per cent of original balance before missed payments) seems what people are getting with BofA at this time.
