Sonic will try to do the wage assignment on you because they have done on many others in the past. You need to inform your payroll about these illegal activities so that they don't let them debit your account. Wage assignment doesn't require court papers and the customer can easily revoke it. The company is forcing you to believe what they are saying so that you can fall into their trap. Don't worry! They can't do anything without your consent. Send a revocation letter to the company as well to your payroll dept. Send it through certified mail to have a proof of your actions. Sonic has been discussed many times in this forum. This is the most famous discussion with some important details.

Speaking of Payday Avenue, I just got a call from a guy named Richard at PDA. He has called my place of employment, my family members. I told him not to call me or my family at any time. He also said that they did not except debt consolidation (I signed with T&C) a few weeks ago. This whole thing has been extremely stressful. My fault of course. However, at least I feel I'm doing the right thing by trying to work out payments. I'm just afraid that they will keep calling after I told them not too. I closed my old checking account so these places can't keep robbing me. Here to find out things have still been hitting my closed account. How can that be? I'm trying to get that straightened out with the bank. Has anyone had problems with things hitting the closed bank acccount? Any suggestions on what I can do? I'm so glad that I found this website. Everyone has been so helpful. Thanks for listening to me vent!!

It's funny that you should ask. I went on the website. They don't list an address, only a phone number and a fax number. Pretty shady. God when will these collection calls ever end. I've been signed up for about 3 weeks now. I'm pulling my hair out.

Check with your SAG to see if they are in violation of any laws associated with the fdcpa. If they are you can file a claim against them for calling your job and your employer. Dealing with these ani mal PDL you must know the laws and what they can and cannot do. And can someone tell me who T&C is and is there a link in which i can join their site so I can get my PDL taken care of. LMK.

The funniest thing here is the abuse of a legitimate business. You suckers who goto the high risk lenders to borrow their cash because you have no credit, or have a serious budgetting issue should be ashamed of yourself. Is there no such thing as Caveat Emptor? Buyer beware? I dont think so, I think its a couple of folk with budgetting and debt problems, who take what they can without regard to the obligation associated, or perhaps the commitment of honouring their commitments. Commerical Morality means, your John Hancock is your word, and failure to prepare when you engage in a contract, ie: reading the contract in it's entirety and understanding it. If you have no intention of following the contract, or understanding, do yourself a favour and dont enter into the agreement. If you have a debt issue, seek help, dont steal from a company because you can duck out of the contract. That is thievery, and you should be ashamed. Greed is unhealthy. Do your spirit a favour and do what you commit to. If you have financial problems go get help. Acknowledgement is the first step.

You must work for a pdl company. Besides, these companies don't understand when you tell them the money won't be in your account and they still debit it continuously. Why don't these companies give out their physical mailing address? Is it b/c they know they do shady business and don't want to be tracked down?

EXCUSE ME! The same goes for the companies that this forum is speaking about - there should be "Commercial Morality" on their part also! If you would take the time and read some of the threads here, you will find that we are not trying to get out of what we owe. We are trying to keep our heads above water due to unforseen expenses. Also look at the companies that are out there like vipers - not following the laws of the states that they are dealing in. I have two companies that have overcharged me to the point that my attorney is calling it the worst type of loan sharking in the business. One has charged me $1080.00 in finance charges on a $200.00 loan and still keeps debiting my account. I am a single mother who is living pay check to pay check, so if you think that I am a thief or greedy or if you think that any of the other posters on this forum, then you had better educate youself as to what is going on here because you DO NOT HAVE A CLUE! Evidently, since the number of people who have registered on this sit is in the thousands, there is a need for this type of informative site.

And another thing - If you believe that we are trying to get out of paying our debts, then why are so many states filing law suits against these companies? Why are the complains to the FTC, Attorney Generals' Offices and the BBB being overrun with complaints? Why are so many of these pdls moving from state to state in such manner that no one can even send them their payments by mail? If you want to rag on something get you facts straight first and and then maybe you will see where we are coming from and going to.

They are full of shit, they cannot do a wage garnishment without a court order. It will go through collections trying to collect the debt. Then eventually with a court order they can garnish your wages. I spoke to a lady named Sarah she got nasty with me. She said the same thing to me about a wage assignment as well. They are just trying to scare you because they work $5 hour plus commision!!
