Well, each credit card company seems to have their own criteria as far as deciding whether to file suit. Once they reach 180 days delinquent, then the credit card company will charge if off. At that point, they may sell the debt to a collection agency, and some of them are very nasty to deal with. However, it doesn't sound like you really have anything that they could take, even if they did get a judgment against you.
