What is my best option. I have debt from my divorce that was given to me. I put all on a few cards and ran up the balance. I have paid the fees thus far but I will not be able to continue to juggle the fees and pay them on time as I am paying out just a little below what I earn. Which is the best route for me to take to pay off the debt and have some cash available for day to day needs and emergencies as I have no liquid assets?

Okay, there is very little information to guide you. We have no idea how much you owe or how much you earn or how you meet your daily expenses. However, my opinion is that you must first sketch a budget to assess your situation. You can take help of the budgeting tool available with the Debtcc as well. It would give you the idea how much you can actually put forth towards a debt elimination program.

Next, you must decide upon your near and future financial goals; as with debt relief programs your credit score is likely to take a hit.

You must also enhance your knowledge on the various debt relief programs to make an informed decision. Search the site to learn more. You may also check out the DIY section for help as well.
