We have a few credit cards and until recently we managed payments on time,(over a $1000 per month), I am employed but my husband is a self employed tiler. His work is so sporadic due to an increase in tradies looking for work and people not spending that some months we cant meet our mortgage so we take money from a card.
How do we move forward, is a personal loan the answer to clear all the cards into one payment?

Yes, you can consolidate all your bills by taking out a consolidation loan. However, often a consolidation loan is secured loans, i.e. it would be attached to your home.

There are unsecured loans available as well, but you might have to pay higher interest on it. Also your credit score would decide your eligibility to get an unsecured loan.

I'd suggest that you check out all the options available to you before zeroing down on one.
