I recently signed up with care one to take care of my credit cards. I had a question for anyone that has used this program or knows of it, How does the fact that one or two of my accounts is past due affect the program? Do my cards continue to report past due or does that get taken care of over time with the program or is something I should take care of while on the program? thanks for your help.

A few years ago I was involved with a credit counceling service...I think it might have been Care One. I remember that payments were still being reported as late even though they were not sent by me but were sent by Care One. I was being knocked with late fees as well as over limit fees. Things may have changed since then...but in my situation it was best to cut ties. I figured it out on my own and didn't pay any "donation" for them to help me.

I believe the credit cards may report your accounts as being enrolled in a credit management program when it comes to your credit reports.
