pay day loan help
Date: Thu, 06/30/2011 - 16:43
I had to go through THINK CASH/ 1ST BANK OF DELAWARE; AMONGST A COUPLE OF OTHER PAY DAY PLACES FOR HELP WITH MY FINANCES.
its obviously more trouble than they say...however, through many problems this year, I havent been able to pay THINK CASH the entire amount due ( about $1000).
They are now calling me from a law firm saying that they will call my employer & get my pay garnished in order to pay them back unless I comply to pay them within a few months.
I am a single mother making nearly $1000 every 2 weeks & just trying to get back on my feet.
ANY SUGGESTIONS? SHOULD I JUST GO ALONG WITH THEIR OFFERS? COMPLAIN SOMEWHERE?
CAN THEY THREATEN TO CALL MY JOB?
HELP!!!
What state are you in? Check whether or not Think Cash is legal
What state are you in? Check whether or not Think Cash is legal in your state. If Think Cash does not have the license to operate in your state, then you'll only have to pay the principal amount. If they are legal, then you'll have to pay the principal amount including the fees and interests.
They can't garnish your pay check without obtaining judgment from the court. If they are legal and you don't make any payments on the loan, then Think Cash can file a lawsuit against you. If they win the case and secure judgment from the court, then they can garnish your paycheck.
You can negotiate with them for a better repayment plan. Try to settle the loan asap.
