cashing a check

I have a personal check to cash but I only have my passport and a bill with my address.Also can I have my sister put it in her account even though my name is on the check?

Being that your passport has your picture on it, you might take the check to the bank it is drawn on to see if they will cash it. Yes you can sign the check over to your sister but before I did that I would have your sister talk to her bank to see what requirements they have. This will turn your check into a three party check which means the bank will place a hold on in for so many days, and your sister will be responsible for fee's if the check bounces.
