I was wondering if anyone out there has actually had ANY luck getting a PIF or Settlement with CashToday?

They are still debiting my account, at least until Yesterday, new account next week so I am sure I will have to deal with them soon. I got a letter from Pollyandsay that I am going to fax & mail to the big dog there, we'll see what happens. Regardless, they aren't getting any more money. I have paid them $500 on a $200 loan

I personally never had a loan with this outfit. Thank God. I do know they are on the last list that the WV AG has went after. KYSIDE38

bflow, can I laugh? Please forgive me! You know my situation with Cash Today. PIF? Settlement? Those ya-hoos in the UK are going to have their foreign representatives calling your butt. You're not going to understand a word they say. You've overpaid, but they'll want you to Money Gram them MORE money to say it's paid. They are absolutely nuts! And they will hound you into the ground with their foreign rep's. What? What? Can't understand a word except they make it plain they want you to Money Gram them more money on your OVERPAID loan! God love them all! My friend, Brian, loves to leave me voice messages. I love to save them for future use. He's still calling wondering where my Money Gram payment is! LOL! I hope he keeps checking for it. Poor baby. Now he won't get his commission on the $100 Money Gram he never received. Pitiful.

One of my friends told them to F-off about 20 phone calls in a row and hung up right after that. That was about 3 months ago and not another word from them since. I have not seen any post saying that any letter was received PIF. I saw one post a while ago that said a certain amount like 250 would settle the loan but I do not know if the person paid it and if they quit harrassing that person. I personally would not bother trying to settle with them and would change my phone numbers and not answer if they call phone lines you can not change.

dollars, I just don't answer my phone. Let them call all they want. Ya-da, ya-da! I really get a thrill when my buddy, Brian, calls me though! He sounds as though he's reading from a script and stutters throughout the entire message. I love to save them and listen to them! They are a hoot! Gosh, wonder when he'll call me again. Oh. Never mind. He'll probably move on to bflow now! LOL!

morningstarr, I'm so glad we're all in this together! Who else would we be able to LAUGH about all this with? Whoever would have thought we'd be able to laugh about it? It cracks me up because all you guys know EXACTLY what I'm talking about! If I were to discuss any of the things we discuss on this forum with anyone else, they would look at me as though I was retarded or insane! You guys all have been through the SAME thing and talked to the SAME people and got the SAME letters..........At least we can laugh! And, you know it's true! He'll move on to bflow now! "Hello, this is Brian calling today from Cash Today For You. I would be glad to speak with you." LOL!!!!!

Oh my God! Can you imagine my conversation with my co-workers? "Oh, yes, I have 12 internet pay day loans out and I'm fighting them and have been working with the BBB and AG and FTC. Excuse me while I use your fax machine and copy machine so I can send them 1,000 letters telling the our state laws." LOL! They'd probably fall on the floor! Hell, they probably don't even know about internet pay day lenders, let alone actually get one! I'd be an outcast! I'll just stamp "IDIOT" on my forehead before I say a word to anyone except this forum! LOL!

When I was actively PDL'ing, I went into a storefront to pay off a loan, when who did I see but one of our dept managers!!!!!!! We were both embarrassed (it's like yeah, fancy seeing you here  ), but it showed me that anyone can be caught in the PDL cycle. This woman makes double what I make, fyi...

ks, I laughed out loud about your pdl experience with your dept mngr! I would have just crapped in my pants! That is toooo funny! But, just goes to show you, not everyone can make it between paydays! It is funny though! And, bflow, I'm so very sorry - but I swear, Brian will be calling you next! LOL! You just make sure to give him my love! OH! And tell him to keep checking for the $100 Money Gram.......it must have gotten lost somewhere!?!?! Oh my goodness! LOL!

I know if I saw my boss in a PDL store I would probably have a heart attack. You know though, the people that make the kind of money like my boss (HR Director of a hospital) are the ones that are soooooooo deep in dept that they have it just as hard as we do from pay period to pay period.

I have also been surprised to find out about some people I know that have gotten pdl's. I don't think anyone is completely immune. When you have bad credit sometimes it seems like a pdl is the only option. I was so surprised when I found out that my boss was in even more deeper than I was with them!!! It really made me not feel as bad........

The first time I came to this site I felt so relieved that I slept just knowing that with a little time this could lift a lot of stress of my shoulders. I wish I knew this forum was here before now. But, better late than never. I could have paid $1000,s more than I have before stopping the madness!

bflow....I felt exactly the way you did. For the first time in a long time, I finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel when I found this forum. I actually started having positive thoughts for a change and it has been uphill from there. :) There is no way I would have been able to dig myself out of the pdl hole I had made for myself on my own.

Me neither. I didn't even know where to start. The more I read about other people's experiences the more motivated I get to go further. I am not stopping at them just marking me PIF, before, I would have, but now, I want my $$$$! Now it's all for the principal of it all.
I know I may never get it, but I want other people to know what WE have all gone through and maybe not make the mistakes we have all made. Filing complaints is the only way that information gets out to others for their use.

It is the only way that these places are going to be stopped, too. I completely agree that if you have overpaid them you should fight for a refund. If these places have to start coughing up money that they basically stole from people, maybe they will be forced to shut down and end their illegal practices.

The most I ever had at one time was 10--and that was a combination of storefronts and IPDL's. One of the reasons they are so deadly is that they make you feel like you're the only one stupid enough to do it--and that is what we must educate our fellow consumers on. The more people come forward the better.
