I am in the middle of a judgement proceeding in NC on a ccard I have defaulted on. The reason for the default is that I was in an accident and required 2 back surgeries. I am now on SS Disability and am a single mom. I am due to go to court next week am really scared as to what will happen. I absolutely cannot afford to pay anything on this. Please Help!

Don't worry at all. You are pretty much judgment proof. Even if you didn't show up and they got a default judgment against you, SS cannot be garnished for CC debt. They are wasting their time and money!

In fact, you are probably insolvent, which means that your debt is higher than any assets. Bring proof of this to court (I suggest you go).

It'll be all good.

i too would suggest you show up in court, but dont be scared its not as bad as you think.?? Be sure you have your proof of no income, your accident etc.?? and like chrys said you will be proved to be insolvant.?? They are waisting thier money and time.?? Maybe if you tell them that this is the case (if you havent already) they will drop the case.
