I am trying to help my son-in-law right a letter regarding a bad debt. He was 18, stupid and ahd a 300 credit card that he stopped paying on. He received a letter from an attorney stating with past due, over the limit fees and everything else they want more that 1200 plus interest rate of 24%. How do I write this letter to get them to negotiate this down?
