You can go for debt settlement and pay off your credit card debt. However, debt settlement lowers your credit score. Therefore, you can take advantage of other debt relief programs such as credit counseling, debt consolidation, debt management, etc and repay your credit card debt. It will be best if you can work out an alternative repayment with your creditor.
